Dayaan? Baka may kinalaman Marcos dyan! Lagman wants probe of supporters’ meeting at UPLB

Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman wants authorities to investigate the meeting of former President Ferdinand Marcos’ supporters at the University of the Philippines Los Baños on September 23 to receive their supposed share of his ill-gotten wealth.

In a statement Tuesday (September 26), Lagman said the meeting of members of the One Social Family Credit Cooperative has hints of the “same revisionist strategy of the Marcos heirs to deodorize the cardinal sins of the Marcoses.”

This was because the attendees were drawn to the campus because of the P30 pamphlet they purchased in which Marcos’ life and achievements were detailed.

The pamphlet appears to be an abridged version of the 855-paged compilation “Let the Marcos Truth Prevail” in 2004, with an undisclosed publisher and author.

In exchange for purchasing the pamphlet, the cooperative members were promised P1 million.

“Although Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has distanced his family from the organizers of the Marcos “legacy” scam, there is need to further investigate the ties of the Marcoses with the evidently pro-Marcos group which is affiliated with the Bullion Buyer Ltd. (BBL) which was founded on September 11, 2011, Marcos’ birthday,” Lagman said.
