0

While some politicos regain passion and relax through partying and wine, this councilor has a different way to unwind and grow.

Tabaco City, Albay Councilor Sheina Marie Onrubia took a time off from work to attend the 2017 International Disciple Making Church in Singapore.

The conference, led by Rev Edmund Chan, a pastor and well-known Christian book author, started with a lesson on “Breaking up the Fallow Ground.”

“The key is not to know the key, but to have faith, not in ourselves, but in the Lord. Let God take control of your life,” the councilor said on her Facebook quoting Chan.

Aside from working as a city councilor, Onrubia also serves as a pastor for the Destiny Church in Tabaco, Albay. Her target mostly are students and young men in Albay, the province with a high percentage of teenage pregnancy.
