Welcome to Pinas! Sorsogon welcomes Western teens
All smiles, Sorsogon governor Robert “Bobot” Lee Rodrigueza said hello to students from Italy, Belgium, Germany and Greenland!
In his Facebook post, Rodrigueza proudly posted his photos with the four students during a recent courtesy call.
The students in their casual dresses and shorts graciously talked to the governor who was equally cool in his striped polo shirt and jeans.
One was even holding a pink abaca fan. Cant’ stand the heat, girl?
The students are part of the AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines, an international, voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit organization which provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world, Rodrigueza said.
According to its page, the AFS also aims to develop and prepare future leaders, global citizens and change makers through essential “intercultural skills.”
Good luck and hope you learn a lot here in Bicol!
