Catanduanes Gov Cua welcomes fishy development
Something fishy went down recently in Catanduanes. But it was a good kind of fishy.
Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua bared on his Facebook that some 130,000 tilapia fingerlings were distributed to several municipalities by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Bicol.
“As they continue to distribute tilapia fingerlings to the different municipalities in Catanduanes, they plan on conducting trainings and construction of facilities to strengthen the hatchery operation of freshwater fishes to support the local production of tilapia within our province,” Gov Boboy wrote.
The beneficiaries were the towns of San Miguel, Virac, Gigmoto, Caramoran, Baras, and Bato.
