Anong petsa na? CamNorte Mayor Ascutia blasts DPWH for slow bridge work
Labo, Camarines Norte Mayor Joseph Ascutia is dismayed over the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH)- Daet’s sloth-paced construction of Labo Bridge No. 2.
According to the politiko, it’s been five years since the project was started and yet, it’s still unfinished.
It was learned in a Brigada News FM Daet report Thursday (May 18) that a total of P228.2 million has been allocated by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for the project.
DPWH-Daet earlier said the bridge would be completed this year, but Ascutia himself reckoned that it’s impossible.
The mayor went on to advise the agency to pick a competent contractor for the bridge construction.
At the current pace, Ascutia said Labo Bridge No. 2 could take a total of 10 years to build.
