Daet Mayor Ochoa helps out family of slain woman

The administration of Daet, Camarines Norte Mayor Benito Ochoa will be shouldering the burial cost of the late Sarah Mae Reyes Cabatingan, the woman who was found slain inside a local hotel last week.

This assistance to Cabatingan’s family was confirmed by Municipal Information Officer Edwin Domingo, a Brigada News FM Daet report said Wednesday, May 10.

Apparently, the victim’s family is just awaiting the rest of relatives to arrive in Daet from Davao del Sur.

In this regard, Domingo said that the local government is also willing to give financial assistance for the transportation of Cabatingan’s kin.

On Tuesday, Cabatingan’s alleged lover, Cezar Martinez Sullivan Jr., 48, surrendered to authorities. He admitted to stabbing the 32-year-old woman to death following a quarrel inside their hotel room last May 5.

Sullivan, a former soldier, is married with six children.
