Pumoporma na: Sorsogon vice governor Hamor running for mayor in 2019

This early, Sorsogon Vice Governor Ester Hamor is setting her sights on 2019, baring plans to run for Sorsogon City mayor in the next local elections.

Hamor made the announcement before supporters and political allies at the Casiguran gymnasium, where she marked her birthday on April 17.

Her request for support was met with a loud “Yes” from those gathered at the event.

The vice governor is expected to fight re-electionist mayor and former governor Sally Lee for the mayoralty post.

Her husband, incumbent mayor Edwin Hamor, said Hamor’s decision to run for mayor stemmed from city consultant Jovic Duran’s attacks on her.
