Camarines Sur 4th district Rep. Noli Fuentebella recently marked the 16th anniversary of his biggest day as a politiko–the day he became Speaker of the House.

“November 13, taon 2000, si Noli Fuentebella naging ika-18 Speaker kan Camara de Representantes kan Pilipinas.
“This was my moment. This was my date with Destiny,” read this post on Cong Noli’s Facebook.

The Bicolano served as House Speaker just three months, straddling the terms of former presidents Joseph Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Indeed, those were the days when people of destiny made their mark on the political scene.
