Tara nood na! Elders, differently-abled given free movie privileges in Legazpi

The Legazpi City Council has unanimously approved the enactment of an ordinance requiring all movie theaters to provide free movie privileges for senior citizens and differently-abled persons in the city.

Legazpi City, the capital of Albay province, currently has a total of 10 movie theaters–the most in Region 5.

There are four movie theaters in Ayala Mall Legazpi, four in A. Bichara Silverscreens Entertainment Center and two in Pacific Mall Legazpi.

Contained in the resolution are the mechanics by which the beneficiaries can avail of their free movie privileges. According to the document, the three malls have designated Monday and Tuesday as free movie showing days for elders and differently-abled individuals.

In the case of A. Bichara Silverscreens Entertainment Center, it also named Thursday as a free movie showing day.

The three malls have indicated that the privilege is only good as long as the theater seating capacity allows it.
