Tallado out, Pimentel in at CamNorte Capitol

Vice Governor Jonah Pimentel is now the acting governor of Camarines Norte following the suspension of controversial politiko, Governor Edgar Tallado.

The suspension was based on an order handed down by the Office of the Ombudsman and subsequently implemented by DILG-Regional Director Elouisa Pastor.

Meanwhile, taking over Pimentel’s place as Vice Governor is Senior Board Member Michael Canlas.

Pimentel and Canlas were recently sworn in by Judge Winston Racoma of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 39.

Earlier, one Jose Banal filed before the Ombudsman a case against Tallado after the governor’s sex video and naked pictures with his alleged mistress went viral on the Internet.

Pastor personally delivered the suspension order to the Capitol, but Tallado wasn’t there at that time. Thus, the order was received by his staff.

Tallado also has another case before the Ombudsman in connection with his alleged illegal sacking of a local employee named Atoy Typoco.
