Gregorian Mall in Legazpi opens today
After almost two years of anticipation, the Gregorian Mall will now open it’s doors Thursday (October 27) to Legazpi City, Albay residents.
But more than serving as another Legazpi Landmark and a leisure spot, this new mall will definitely add to the growing economy of the city.
“Another private-public partnership (PPP) at its best and at least 700 additional employment opportunities in the city,” Rosal wrote on his Facebook Wednesday.
The groundbreaking for the construction of the mall took place in November 2014.
The site of the mall was formerly occupied by the Legazpi City Police Station. The police station has since been relocated downtown.
The Gregoria Mall was constructed by WholeGrain Land Inc. (WGLI). The PPP arrangement allowed the city government not to shell out a single centavo for its construction.
