Sobra naman! Capitol brands Guv Tallado’s dismissal order an ‘overkill’

The camp of Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado believes that the dismissal order slapped against the politiko by the Office of the Ombudsman is overkill.

According to Provincial Information Officer Sherwin Mata of the Camarines Norte provincial government, the Ombudsman’s penalty was simply too much given Tallado’s “offense” of sacking some provincial employees in the past.
Mata noted that Tallado had ample basis to fire the worker anyway.

At any rate, Mata said that its still “business as usual” at the Capitol, with Tallado still sitting at the helm.
He said Tallado’s office has yet to receive a copy of the Ombudsman’s latest decision.

Once a copy of it does reach the Capitol, Mata said that it still won’t be readily enforceable.

Tallado’s camp has already filed a motion for reconsideration and may yet raise the matter before the Court of Appeals.
