Soya beans give Catanduanes folk earning opportunities

In Catanduanes, the lowly soya bean has been turned into a source of livelihood.

This is all thanks to a joint venture between the provincial government under Governor Joseph Cua and the local Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) office.

“56 Pandananon trainees are now capable to venture business and employment prospects after graduating from the three-day Soya Beans Processing Training last Sept. 28 held at Pandan Town Plaza,” read this Facebook post.

The beneficiaries of the training program included unemployed adults and out-of-school youths.
