AKO-Bicol hails party-lists’ bigger role in 17th Congress
The 17th Congress will go down in history as the time when party-list representatives took over.
One them, AAMBIS-OWA Rep. Sharon Garin, was designated as a deputy speaker. Meanwhile, a slew of others were granted committee chairmanships and other important positions.
“Party-list Coalition President Rodel M. Batocabe and the rest of the Coalition express their utmost gratitude to House Speaker Pantaleon M. Alvarez and Majority Floor Leader Rodolfo Farinas for the equitable treatment of party-list representatives in the 17th Congress,” read this post from AKO-Bicol party-list.
Batocabe represents AKO-Bicol in the Lower Chamber.
“Rest assured, all 23 vital positions granted to the party-list shall be exercised with great diligence and always in full consideration of the welfare of the sectors we aim to protect and represent,” the post further read.
