Julio Villafuerte gets Pacquiao lucky charm instead of trainer

Combat sport aficionado Julio Villafuerte couldn’t get a session with Manny Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach, so he went for the next best thing: Buboy Fernandez.

“They don’t want us training with Pacquiao’s trainer,” wrote Villafuerte, who is seen here flashing a fight pose with “Pacman’s” childhood friend.

Buboy, a fixture in Pacquiao’s corner, has been considered by the eight-division boxing champ as his lucky charm. So Julio definitely had it good still.

Pacquiao, now a senator, retired earlier this year.
