Walang pasok! Isko Moreno declares week-long ‘health break’ for Manila schools
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has signed an executive order declaring a week-long suspension of classes in all private and public schools in the city in light of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
The so-called “health break” will be from January 14 until January 21, for both online and physical classes.
“”So mayroon kayong one week na makapagpahinga and hopefully maka-recover yung mga estudyante nating infected and yung pamilya ng estudyante at yung magulang nila na infected rin; yung teacher na infected, at yung pamilya ng teacher,” Moreno said.
Moreno said the break from classes aims to address the increasing anxiety of the public while also attending to the general health of students and teachers.
“Mataas po ang anxiety level ng mga magulang para sa kanilang mga anak, at ganoon rin yun anxiety level ng mga guro,” he said. “Kaya ito ay ang pagtugon sa inyong sitwasyon ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Maynila.”
