Bicol logs 261 new COVID-19 infections

The Department of Health has logged a whopping 261 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region.

This pushed the total cases in Bicol to 47,841 as of January 8, with 2,764 tagged as active cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

Fourteen more patients recuperated from the disease, pushing the total number of recoveries to 43,078. Death toll remains at 1,999.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
