Rep. Kho donates rain collector to Uson school

Masbate Rep. Wilton Kho has continued his project of donating rain collector to schools, with Del Rosario Elementary School in Uson as the latest beneficiaries.

The said initiative was part of the legislator’s commitment to conserve the environment and resources for a sustainable future

“Faculty and staff of the said school were present during the turnover ceremony as spearheaded by their Principal Maam Roma Lalaguna,” Kho’s office said.

“The Barangay Captain of Del Rosario, Uson Hon. Nilda Odeña and the barangay officials also graced the occasion,” it added.

Also present was 3rd district board member Hon. Rudy Butchoy Alvarez Jr.

The Mayor of Pio V corpuz Hon. Allan Lepasana and Former Provincial Treasurer Nilda Aguilar-Tinegra who are vying for the position of board member of the 3rd district of Masbate also graced the occasion.

Kho’s office likewise donated one hundred sacks of cement to the Barangay Officials for the improvement of their Barangay Plaza.

“Making the most out of the resources can make a big change economically.
Reduction of rainwater run-offs through rainwater collection thereby reduces the risk of further damage caused by floods and erosion,” Kho’s office said.

“Henceforth, this method and useful tool provided by the Office of the Congressman is not just for sustainability and practicality but for environmental and safety puposes as well,” it added.
