Alvarez leads groundbreaking of new Mindanao State University campus in Bataraza
Palawan Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez has spearheaded the groundbreaking of a new campus in Bataraza.
“Nakiisa tayo sa ground-breaking ng itatayong Mindanao State University campus sa bayan ng Bataraza ngayong araw,” said the Governor.
“Dalawang gusali ang itatayo rito: isang 3-story building may labing walong classrooms; at dalawang palapag na gusali na magsisilbing administrative building,” he added.
Also present during the activity were Bataraza local officials led by Mayor Abraham Ibba as well as officials from the Mindanao State University.
“Sa sandaling matapos, ito ang magiging ika-labing dalawang campus ng MSU at kauna-unahan sa labas ng Mindanao,” said Alvarez.
Meanwhile, the said campus will offer the following courses: Bachelor of Business Administration (Major in Economics, and Major in Entrepreneurial Marketing), BS Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Teaching Arabic, Bachelor of Arts in Shariah (Major in Islamic & Jurisprudence), Bachelor of Science in Eco-Tourism, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of BS Fisheries, Bachelor of Science in Agri-Tourism, Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Secondary Education, and AB Political Science.
