The Department of Health said that a McDonald’s branch in Masbate served as an inoculation site during the first day of National Vaccination Day on November 29.

“A McDonald’s branch in the province of Masbate joins the National Vaccination Day on November 29, 2021 by providing space in their store as a vaccination site,” the DOH Bicol said.

“This is in coordination with the Provincial DOH Office of Masbate headed by Dr. Lalaine Villasis. Through this site, 181 individuals were vaccinated on the first day of the vaccination activity,” it added.

Prior to this, the Bicol CHD coordinated with various partners to increase the vaccination coverage of the region.

Among those tapped as vaccination sites were fast food chains, banks, faith-based organizations, national government agencies, and the media.

“Vaccination remains to be a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach. The Bicol CHD welcomes and encourages partnerships with establishments that wish to assist in the COVID-19 vaccination program,” said the department.

“Likewise, with the presence of accessible vaccination sites, the public is urged to get vaccinated to protect themselves against severe symptoms and death caused by COVID-19,” it added.
