Rep. Sato pays tribute to slain cops in Magsaysay

Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato has paid her respects to the police from Magsaysay who died in the line of duty.

“Dumalo si Nene Sato sa blessing ng bagong PNP 2nd Platoon Base sa Brgy. Nicolas, Magsaysay, OkSi noong Nov 26, 2021. Tinawag na ito ngayong ALDEGO’S (Alvarez, Develos and Gongora) Peak, bilang pagkilala sa kabayanihan ng PNP heroes na sina PEMS Jonathan B. Alvarez, PSSg Nolito Develos Jr. at PCpl Estan Gongora na pinaslang ng mga NPA sa isang ambush noong May 2021,” said the lawmaker’s office.

“Sinaksihan din ni Cong. Nene at Magsaysay Mayor Junjun Tria ang MOA signing sa pagitan ng PNP at ng Hanunuo, Gubatnon at Ratagnon (HAGURA) IPs para sa paggamit ng lupang bahagi ng kanilang ancestral domain,” it added.

The said platoon base was part of the efforts of the solon to increase police visibility in the town.

“Ang platoon base na ito ay bahagi ng pagsisikap ni Cong Nene, Philippine National Police (PNP) at LGU ng Magsaysay na mapabuti ang kapayapaan, kaayusan at seguridad ng OkSi, sa pamamagitan ng pagtaas ng presensya ng mga pulis sa lalawigan,” Sato’s office said.

Also present during the signing of the agreement were Roy Balleza, Boy Dimaano, Michael Rogas, and Uly Javier.

Also in attendance were PNP Provincial Director PCOL Ronaldo Palomo, DPDA PLTCOL Mechille Deligero, PLTCOL Roland Culiao, Force Commander PLTOL Arnold Calingasan, Asst Force Commander PMAJ Santos Soriano, 2nd MP Platoon Leader PLT Glenn Esquillo, 3rd MP Platoon Leader PLT Russel Segara and 1st MP Platoon Leader PLT Adonis Ordenes.
