DOH logs 53 new COVID-19 cases, 523 recoveries in Bicol

The Department of Health reported relatively low COVID-19 cases in Bicol at 35, pushing the region’s total case count to 43,695.

Active cases as of October 24 are now at 11,656.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

Meanwhile, 523 new recoveries were logged in Bicol, pushing the total number of recoveries to 30,643.

Death toll rose to 1,396 after 19 new fatalities were logged.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH said.
