Total COVID-19 cases in Bicol rise to 40,575

The Department of Health has reported 155 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol, pushing the region’s total case count to 40,575.

Active cases as of October 10 are now at 13,600, representing 33.52% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

The department also registered 189 new recoveries to push the total to 25,780.

The death toll also climbed to 1,195 after eight more patients succumbed to the disease.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH reminded.
