“We got the invitation from the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) for Global Change last August 24 for a meeting to discuss the COVID situation in the Philippines and around the world.
Today, the meeting with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair pushed through. I discussed with his team the situation of COVID in Philippines, lessons we’ve learned, and our own initiatives to address the challenges brought about by the pandemic. In turn, Mr. Blair emphasized the importance of testing and vaccination in the fight against the virus. Mr. Blair presented several points of their mass testing strategy which may be applied to in the Philippines.
The TBI is a not-for-profit organization that is currently assisting governments around the world in dealing with the pandemic through an exchange of ideas such as making testing available for all, and speeding up vaccinations,” Robredo posted.
