Vice President Leni Robredo marked what would have been her mother’s 85th birthday by reminiscing about the time she came to the House of Representatives to visit her.

In a Facebook post, Robredo shared a photo of her mom posing for a photo in her seat at the plenary hall of the Batasang Pambansa.

She said she was glad that she was able to convince her mother to visit her at her workplace for a few times.

She was also able to bring her mother to attend the State of the Nation address of the President at that time.

Her mother preferred to stay in Bicol because she hated going to Manila, but the VP is glad that she acceded to her request to visit her in Congress.

Time spent with mom is always priceless!

“My Mom would have turned 85 today. We lost her Feb 2020, just before the pandemic swept our country.

I was scanning her facebook account a few days ago and saw this picture of her, sitting at my assigned seat at the Plenary Hall of the House of Representatives. I do not recall when this picture was taken but, looking at this, I am glad I was able to convince her to come and visit a few times and brought her to all the SONAs before she died. Mommy refused to live with us here because she hated going to Manila but I’m grateful she indulged me a few times,” Robredo posted.
