DOH logs 91 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol

Ninety-one new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 21,725.

Health department data show that active cases as of August 5 are now at 2,924.

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.
It added that releasing personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

The DOH also logged 227 new recoveries, pushing the total to 17,998. Death toll is currently at 811.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
