DOH reports 356 new COVID-19 recoveries in Bicol

The Department of Health has logged 356 new COVID-19 recoveries in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 17,123.

Active cases went down to 2,963 as of July 27.

Meanwhile, the DOH also reported 86 new cases. Total cumulative cases climbed to 20,878.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Death toll, meanwhile, rose to 792 after five new fatalities were reported. All of the deaths came from Legazpi City.

The DOH noted that the report does not reflect the actual date of deaths but it is based on validated reports with death certificates.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
