DOH logs 660 coronavirus recoveries in Bicol

The Health department has logged the biggest single-day number of COVID-19 recoveries in Bicol at 660.

With the latest figure, the total number of recoveries in Bicol Region is now 12,505 representing 67.27% of the total cumulative cases.

On the other hand, the DOH logged 144 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the region’s total to 18,590 as of July 5

There are 5,448 cases representing 29.31% of the total cases.

The DOH said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, there are 14 fatalities were confirmed, pushing the death toll to 637.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH reminded.
