DOH logs 212 COVID-19 cases in Bicol

The coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region have climbed to 17,814 after the Health department logged 212 infections.

Active cases currently stood at 6,428 as of June 29.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, 117 patients have recovered from the disease, pushing the total number of recoveries to 10,832.

Death toll, meanwhile, rose to 554 after 5 individuals succumbed to the disease.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH said.
