121 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bicol

The Health department has logged 121 new coronavirus disease cases in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 15,276.

Active cases as of June 15 are now at 5,099, representing 33.38% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, the DOH also logged 126 new recoveries, pushing the total number of recoveries to 9,687.

Death toll rose to 490 after two fatalities were reported.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
