Brooke’s Point Mayor Maryjean Feliciano has acknowledged the results of the Palawan plebiscite, but it seems the lost opportunities are still not far from her mind.

In a Facebook post, Feliciano congratulated the proponents of the “no” vote for the division of Palawan into three provinces.

She said they were able to convince the people to reject the establishment of a capital that is closer to their residences, the creation of many job opportunities, and the opening of more businesses.

For the Brooke’s Point residents who voted yes, she offers thanks for their support and for explaining the benefit of the province’s division without saying anything bad about their opponents.

The people have spoken and she accepts their decision, she said.

“TInawag pero hindi pinili. Ibinigay subalit tinanggihan.

GOD bless Brookes Point !” Feliciano posted.
