Palawan’s COVID-19 task force tackles arrival of vaccines

The Palawan Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 convened today to discuss the arrival of the coronavirus disease vaccines in the province.

The meeting was spearheaded by Provincial Administrator Atty. Joshua Bolusa, Provincial Health Officer Dra. Erika Faye Labrador and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Jeremias Y. Alili.

“Kabilang sa mga napag-usapan ay ang nakatakdang pagdating ng mga COVID-19 vaccines ngayong linggo sa lalawigan para sa mga health workers,” said the provincial government.

“Natalakay rin ang gagawing pag-aakma sa inilabas na unified protocol ng National IATF for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases partikular na ang Resolution No. 101 series of 2021 na may petsang February 26, 2021,” it added.

The officials also discussed the guidelines issued by Philippine Commission on Sports and Scuba Diving for those who want to try scuba diving in several dive sites and Tubattaha Reef in Cagayancillo.

“Samantala, iprinisinta at ipinaliwanag naman ng Philippine Red Cross Palawan Chapter ang saliva test, isang uri rin ng RT-PCR gamit ang laway,” said the provincial government.

“Bunsod nito, nakatakdang maglabas ng resolusyon ang Local Task Force para sa lalawigan ng Palawan,” it addded.
