Mayor Marcos, other LGU officials tackle new IATF policy on unified travel protocols

Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos has led the meeting with other local officials to discuss the new IATF policy on unified travel protocols.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) today confirmed that the travel authority from the PNP and the medical certificate from the LGU health office are no longer required for travel after the IATF-MEID approved the harmonized national travel protocols for land, air, and sea.

Under the new policy, COVID-19 testing shall not be mandatory for domestic travelers except if the LGU of destination will require testing as a requirement prior to travel.

Marcos said that they will wait first for the Uniform Guidelines from the Provincial Government for seamless implementation of the new IATF resolution.

“Magpupulong para dito bukas sa kapitolyo ang lahat ng Municipal Health Officers at MDRRMOs ng bawat bayan,” he said.
