Bicol’s COVID-19 cases now at 4,708
The cumulative coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region reached 4,708 as of February 21, the Department of Health Center for Health Development reported.
The department logged eight new cases as of yesterday. Active cases are now 513.
The distribution of newly reported cases:
ALBAY: 2 (25%)
2 – Legazpi City
CAM SUR: 5 (62.5%)
2 – Lagonoy
2 – Naga City
1 – Magarao
SORSOGON: 1 (12.5%)
1 – Juban
The DOH said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.
It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).
Total number of recoveries are 3,995, while death toll remains 200.
The DOH also reminded Bicolanos to follow health protocols in order to prevent the further spread of the disease.
