Who says being differently-abled is a hindrance to a productive life?

Puerto Princesa Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates is very impressed with a group of differently abled people in the city.

In a Facebook post, Socrates said the group led by Maria Alfaro was able to organized a group to put up a sari-sari store and a business selling rice.

They were able to prove that being differently abled does not mean they would be unable to earn a living or be productive members of society, she said,

Their group serves as a role model of responsible citizenship, she said.

She wished them success in their endeavors.

Let’s hope more people would be like them!
