Oriental Mindoro gov’t gears up for COVID-19 vaccine rollout


The province of Oriental Mindoro has started preparations in anticipation of the arrival of coronavirus vaccines in thr province.

Provincial Health Office OIC, Dr. Hubbert Christopher Dolor recently spearheaded the meeting of the Vaccination Task Force together with other concerned agencies to discuss the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.

To recall, Governor Humerlito Dolor issued Executive Order No. 01 series of 2021 or the “An Executive Order providing for the COVID-19 vaccination plans and programs of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, establishing a Provincial COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force, and for other purposes.”

During the meeting, they discussed the roles each department composing the Provincial COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force.

“Partikular dinalakay sa pagpupulong ang listahan ng mga taong magiging prayoridad na mabigyan ng bakuna kontra Covid-19,” said the Capitol.

“Ilan lamang na kabilang sa Category A ay ang mga Fronline health workers, senior citizens, remaining indigent population, uniformed personnel. Kabilang naman sa Category B ang mga teachers, social workers, ibang mga kawani ng gobyerno, mga mangagawa mula sa sektor ng agrikultura, food industry, transportasyon at turismo, Overseas Filipino Workers at iba pang mga natitirang workforce,” it added.

Meanwhile, PA Dolor said that the provincial government will ensure the safe rollout of the vaccines.
