Bicol’s COVID-19 cases rise to 3,948

The coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region have climbed to 3,948 as of January 14.
The Department of Health Center for Health Development-Bicol reported 41 new cases as of yesterday. Total active cases are now at 510.
The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

1 – Daraga
1 – Legazpi City
1 – Tabaco City
CAM NORTE: 3 (7.32%)
2 – Daet
1 – Labo
CAM SUR: 19 (46.34%)
8 – Naga City
4 – Pili
2 – San Fernando
2 – San Jose
1 – Bula
1 – Minalabac
1 – Pamplona
MASBATE: 1 (2.44%)
1 – Cawayan
SORSOGON: 8 (19.51%)
3 – Irosin
2 – Sta. Magdalena
1 – Sorsogon City
1 – Bacon
1 – Bulusan
The Health department said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units and LGUs.
Meanwhile, the Bicol Region saw five new recoveries as of yesterday. Total number of patients who survived the viral illness is now at 3,231
Death toll due to the coronavirus remains 166.
“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the department.
“Let us follow the BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 para sa Serbisyong Salud Bikolnon,” it added.
