OkSi VG Alfaro urges Gov. Gadiano to reinstate job order, contractual employees

Occidental Mindoro Vice Governor Peter Alfaro has asked Governor Edaurdo Gadiano to reinstate all job order and casual employees and release the benefits.

In his letter, Alfaro said that the budget for the salary and benefits of the JOs and contractual employees are covered by the re-enacted budget passed by the Sangunian.

The Occidental Mindoro Sangguniang Panlalawigan is still scrutinizing the provincial budget for 2021.

Alfaro said Section 323 ng Local Government Code of 1991 (R.A. 7160) as well as DILG Opinions states that: “xxx there is no need for such determination of what is essential expenditures pertaining to MOOE in a re-enacted budget, because the MOOE in the previous year’s budget is re-enacted in its entirety.”

“We pray that this urgent request be given preferential and immediate attention of the Chief Executive,” the letter read.
