Mayor Panaligan attends LCP meeting with vaccine czar Sec. Galvez
Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan has attended the League of Cities of the Philippines Special General Assembly to discuss the plans to procure COVID-19 vaccines.
The meeting of the mayors was attended by Secretary Carlito Galvez of the National Task Force on Covid-19 and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Eric Domingo, MD to discuss the details of the plan of the City Governments to procure their own vaccines against Covid-19.
The special assembly was presided over by LCP National President Mayor Evelio Leonardia of Bacolod City and the open forum facilitated by LCP Secretary General Mayor Panaligan,
Panaligan was assisted by LCP Executive Director Ma. Veronica Hitosis during the activity.
“Tuloy ang plano ng mga Lungsod na bumili ng mga aprubado at clinically tested na bakuna laban sa Covid-19 mula sa mga mapagkakatiwalaang pharma companies,” said Panaligan’s office.
“Naglaan na ang maraming lungsod ng kani-kanilang pondo para sa pagbabakuna kasama ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Calapan na may inisyal na PhP 25 Milyong budget para sa anti Covid-19 vaccine kung saan tinataya na may humigit kumulang na 50,000 ang kaagad mababakunahan,” it added.
