COVID-19 cases in Bicol climb to 3,806
The coronavirus cases in Bicol Region has surged past the 3,800 mark after 17 new cases were reported as of January 10.
The Department of Health Center for Health Development Bicol reported that total cases in the region reached 3,806 as of yesterday while active cases rose to 462.
The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:
ALBAY: 2 (11.76%)
1 – Legazpi City*
1 – Pio Duran
CAM SUR: 7 (41.18%)
6 – Naga City
1 – Baao
MASBATE: 8 (47.06%)
5 – Esperanza*
2 – Cataingan*
1 – Mandaon*
The DOH said that tetails of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.
Total recoveries are now 3,178, while death toll rose to 166 after 11 new fatalities were recorded as of yesterday.
“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the department.
“Let us follow the BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 para sa Serbisyong Salud Bikolnon,” it added.
