The Palawan province’s coronavirus disease response got a shot in the arm after the completion of its own molecular laboratory building located in Puerto Princesa.

The good news was shared by Dra. Faye Erika Labrador, Provincial Health Officer during the meeting of Provincial Task Force Against COVID-19 yesterday.

”Yong pong ating facility po, the Molecular Biological Laboratory, 100 percent completed na po ‘yon with the exemption po ng mechanical plan and it will be subjected to the scrutiny pa po ng ating licensing sa DOH, ‘yong regional and ating central po na DOH, so previously kasi na-mention ‘yong regarding sa pass box, meron nang na-procure ang ating Provincial Government pero hindi pa nai-install” said Dra. Labrador.

The Molecular Laboratory is seen to hasten the testing in the province, including the coronavirus disease.

For now, the PHO is just waiting for the inspection and approval of the DOH for it to become fully operational.
