Palawan SP tells LGUs to be vigilant on COVID risks on parties this holiday season
The Palawan Sangguniang Panlalawigan has urged the local government units in the province to be vigilant on parties and celebrations this holiday season amid the threats of coronavirus disease.
“Hinihikayat ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ang lahat ng Lokal na Pamahalaan sa lalawigan ng Palawan sa pamamagitan ng isang resolusyon na maging mapagmatyag sa mga idaraos na selebrasyon ngayong parating na ‘holiday season,” said the provincial government.
The Sanggunian passed the Resolution No. 419-20 titled “Enjoining all LGUs in the Province of Palawan to be Vigilant on COVID-19 Risk on Parties, Karaokes and Crowded Gatherings as the Holiday Season Approaches.”
The said resolution is authored by Second District Board Member Eduardo Modesto V. Rodriguez and was adopted by the SP yesterday.
Rodriguez said that he is just worried by the risks brought by the coronavirus amid gatherings this Christmas season.
“It’s just to remind especially the LGUs this coming holiday season, there’s a lot of celebrations, Christmas parties and syempre mga bisita ng mga kani-kaniyang mga kaibigan sa mga tahanan, to be vigilant on the COVID risk of the activities as the holiday season approaches” said BM Rodriguez.
