Walang ganun! Catanduanes Gov. Boboy Cua says the province didn’t receive millions from USAID and EU
While Catanduanes received assistance in the wake of typhoon Rolly, it did not receive millions from the European Union or US Agency for International Development, Gov. Boboy Cua said.
In a Facebook post, Cua warned against an infographic that he said causes misinformation.
He said Catanduanes did not receive 9.7M from USAID and 63M for the EU, or even P500,000 from the Bulacan provincial government.
He said the donations the province received from government agencies, non-government organizations, local governments, and private parties have to be endorsed to the Provincial Treasurer’s Office for deposit to the province’s trust fund.
He cautioned his constituents to be careful about what they share on social media.
He also said the provincial government would provide a list of donations it had received for transparency.
Don’t fall for false claims!
