Former Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya marks first wedding anniv without his wife

For this year, former Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya is marking his first wedding anniversary without his wife Marissa, who passed away from an illness.

But while he is alone, Andaya still strongly feels her presence.

In a Facebook post, he said he knows Marissa is watching over him and he feels their love in the support and trust that the people in their district given him.

He also said that in the nearly 25 years they were together, her saw her dedication to her family, her strong faith, and her sincere desire to serve.

Even if she was ill, she devoted her remaining days to public service, he added.

Marissa may be gone, but the memory of her remains strong.

This will never fade!

“First anniv nating wala ka sa tabi ko, Ning. Pero alam mo? Alam kong nakasubaybay ka pa rin sa ‘kin, dahil ramdam na ramdam ko pa rin ang love mo. Ramdam ko ‘yan sa suporta ng mga tao, sa tiwala ng mga taga-distrito, sa anumang bagay sa paligid ko.

Sa halos 25 taon na pagsasama natin, nakita ko ang dedication mo sa pamilya natin. Naranasan ko rin ang lalim ng pananampalataya mo, at pati na rin ang malalim mong pagnanais na magsilbi.

Hindi mo alintana ang hirap, sakit, at karamdaman. Inalay mo ang natitira mong mga araw sa pamilya at serbisyo-publiko.

Buhay na buhay ang alaala mo, at ‘yun ang hinding-hindi ko hahayaang pumanaw. I love you and I miss you. To the love of my life, happy anniversary!” Andaya posted.
