A Palawan board member is urging the local government units in the province to form their respective committees on energy.

Board Member Ryan Maminta authored a resolution askisng the 23 municipalities in Palawan to establish committee on energy that will focus on the said sector.

The said resolution is pursuant to the Republic Act 11285 or the ‘Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.” which directs LGUs to form ‘Local Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan’ (LEECP) as well as the ‘Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office’.

“Nagpahayag naman nang pagsuporta ang mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan sa nasabing batas,” said the province.
