11 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported in Bicol Region

The number of coronavirus cases in Bicol region has jumped to 687 after the Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol recorded eleven (11) new confirmed cases last night.

One death has also been recorded. Active cases are now (388).

Of the 11 new cases, seven are from Albay (2 Legazpi City, 2 Daraga, 1 Manito, 1 Guinobatan, 1 Polangui), two from Sorsogon (1 Gubat, 1 Bacon), one from Camarines Sur (Sipocot) and one from Naga City.

The breakdown is as follows:

The DOH CHD – Bicol recorded the 18th COVID-19 death in the region among the 11 new cases yesterday.

Bicol#684 died at 5:24 PM, August 10, same day as hisonset of illness and date of consultation

“Bicol#684 is a hospital staff at a private hospital in Naga City. His cause of death is COVID confirmed, Critical Community Acquired Pneumonia – High Risk,” said the department..

“DOH CHD -Bicol would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Bicol#684,” it added.
