Palawan LGUs told to strictly implement health protocols

A Palawan Board Member urged local government units to intensify the implementation of health protocols amid the threat of coronavirus disease 2019.

Board Member Ferdinand Zaballa, representing the Liga ng mga Barangay, authored a resolution urging the local governemnt units to implement strictly the minimum health and safety protocols and permitted gatherings.

He also reminded the public to avoid social gatherings and to just stay at home.

“This resolution aims to encourage all Local Government Units to strengthen and ensure that gatherings follow the health and safety protocols in their respective areas of jurisdiction.”

The said resolution is also pursuant to the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.”

“Samantala, una na ring naglabas ng kautusan si Gob. Jose Ch. Alvarez na ipagpapaliban muna ang anumang uri ng mga aktibidad na isasagawa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan gaya na lamang ng mga pagpupulong o programa na mayroong maraming bilang ng mga partisipante,” the Capitol said.

“Papayagan lamang ang isang pagpupulong kung ito ay may kinalaman sa mga hakbang ng pamahalaan upang mapanatili ang kaligtasan ng mga Palaweño kontra sa banta ng COVID-19,” it added.
