COVID-19 cases in Bicol climb to 583

Thirty-two new confirmed coronavirus disease cases have been recorded in Bicol Region yesterday, bringing the total confirmed case to 583.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reported that as of last night, active cases in the region are 317.

Of the 32 new cases, 16 are from Albay (10 Legazpi City, 2 Tabaco City, 1 each for Daraga, Guinobatan, Oas, Manito), ten are from Camarines Sur (6 Balatan, 2 Bato, 1 Pili, 1 Baao), five from Naga City, and one (1) from Catanduanes (Baras).

The DOH CHD – Bicol also recorded the 15th COVID-19 death in the region among the 32 new cases last night.

“Bicol#576 who first experienced symptoms on July 23, 2020, consulted on August 4, 2020 and was admitted at BRTTH. He died at 8 AM yesterday, August 5, 2020. His test result confirming he is positive for SARS-CoV-2 came out today,” said the DOH.
