The Palawan provincial government has condemned the ambush that resulted in the death of a nurse of Rescue 165 last August 1.

Board Member Eduardo Modesto Rodriguez, Acting Governor of the province, ordered the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to pass a resolution condemning the ambush of a Rescue 165 ambulance.

The SP passed Provincial Resolution No. 15327 or “Posthumously commending Algerome P. Bernardo, R.N for his sacrifice in service to Palaweños and expressing the profound condolences of the Provincial Government and Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Palawan to his bereaved family.”

The slain medical frontliner was assigned to the Operations Center in Dumaran town.

“Habang nakasaad naman sa Provincial Resolution No. 15328 o ‘Commending Armando Carbajosa, Alex dela Peña and Christopher Tamolin, all of Rescue 165 for their Bravery and Sacrifices as Medical Frontliners in the Service of Palaweños’, na dalawang responders at isang driver ang mga kasama ni Nurse Al ng mangyari ang pamamaril sa ambulansya habang sila ay nagsasagawa ng ‘routine response action’,” said the Capitol.
