Albay VG Lagman: Americans will vote Trump out of office
Albay Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman is confident that the Americans have learned their lessons and that they will vote President Donald Trump out of office in November.
“A mean, petty tyrant. Racist. Bastos. Gago. Sobrang unpresidentiable. Nakahiya. Pero at least sa eleksyon sa Nobyembre, alam ng mga Kano kung anung dapat nilang gawin kay Trump,” Lagman said.
“Tatamain nila ang isang malaking pagkakamali. They will vote Trump out of office,” he added.
The statement came after the US President “refuses to honor American civil rights icon John Lewis by snubbing his wake.”
“If there is still any doubt as to what kind of man Trump is, this says it all. Please sana November na! At least ang mga Kano, alam ang gagawinm” he noted.
“Lewis and Trump had a contentious relationship, but past presidents often looked past any differences they may have had with prominent public figures in the event of their deaths to show respect,” added the Vice Governor.
Lagman noted that Rep. John Lewis was the last surviving speaker of the 1963 March on Washington and one of the original Freedom Riders.
“In 1965, Lewis led more than 600 peaceful demonstrators across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Alabama on “Bloody Sunday,” he said.
“Lewis served in the House of Representatives for over 30 years, garnering a reputation as the ‘conscience of Congress.'” he added.
